CNC Punching at MAKES ENGINEERING offers high accuracy, speed and competitively priced metal products and parts. Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) punching plays an important role in ensuring precision in sheet metal manufacturing. The operation is carried out by CNC punch presses using dedicated software to position the sheet metal under a punching ram to create a hole or form.

We can punch anything, from simple circles or rectangles to overlapping geometrical 3D designs that may be required in complex sheet metal components. CNC punch press machines are also capable of creating metal formed components at very high speeds and with clean edges thus achieving very high productivity.

Our main CNC punching press is the YAWEI HPI 3057. It processes sheet thicknesses of up to 3mm and sheet sizes of 3300 X 1500 with up to 600 strokes per minute. We can handle a broad range of metals, including Mild Steel, Galvanised Steel.
